what we offer

Our goal is for your experience here in the Arctic to be a great one! We’ve put together a list of the amenities and services we can provide (as well as those we cannot) for your convenience and preparedness. Click any section to expand.

+ LODGING

All rooms are the same—each one has two twin beds and an adjoining bathroom with a shower. A third person could be in the room but would need to bring their own sleeping gear for the floor (we do not have rollaway beds).

+ CAMPING

Camping with your own tent and gear is free of charge. Just ask a host for tips on where to set up camp once you get here.

+ RV ACCOMODATIONS

Limited RV hookups are available for $49 per night. We provide power and water, but no sewage, cable, or internet.

+ WI-FI

Wi-Fi access is provided by satellite, and therefore cannot be guaranteed to be functional, quick, or reliable. Internet access can be purchased using your own device with a PayPal account or credit card. You cannot pay a camp host for internet access. GCI customers can use data services in Coldfoot. AS OF NOV 2022 - WI-FI is not available at Coldfoot Camp.

+ CAFE

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be found at the Coldfoot Camp Truckers’ Cafe. When the kitchen is closed (from 12am-5am) there are a limited number of snack items available for sale.

+ FUEL

Gas and diesel may be purchased at Coldfoot Camp 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

+ GIFT SHOP

See what Arctic treasures you can find in the Coldfoot Camp Gift Shop located in the Cafe. The Gift Shop is open from 5:00 am to midnight.

+ POST OFFICE

The Coldfoot Camp Post Office is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm.

+ SELF-SERVICE LAUNDRY

Free washers and dryers located in the Inns are available for guest use. Laundry is available from 5 pm to 8 am. Laundry detergent is also free, and is kept in the laundry rooms.

+ GROCERIES

Limited toiletries and various sundries are available for sale in the Cafe. Food items may be available upon request, but this is based on stock and cannot be guaranteed. If you’re looking for a grocery store, your best bet is to load up in Fairbanks and bring what you need. We sell limited apparel in the Gift Shop like t-shirts and sweatshirts, but we do not sell sunglasses, coats, gloves, or other winter gear.

+ excursions/ACTIVITIES

Need help while staying at Coldfoot Camp? See one of our knowledgeable camp hosts at the front desk. Their role is to answer your questions and ensure your stay is enjoyable. They can also help you find an activity to do while you are staying at Coldfoot Camp: river rafting, sightseeing, hiking, a trip to the historic community of Wiseman, and more. During the winter, arrangements can be made for a dog mushing excursion. See our excursions page for more information.

+ SHOWERS

Showers are available for guests not staying overnight for a fee. The Coldfoot Camp showers are available for use 24 hours a day. For shower services, see a camp host inside the Cafe.

+ TELEPHONE

Payphones are available in the Cafe across from the restrooms, and require calling cards to reach any number. Calling cards can be purchased at the Cafe.

GCI and Verizon customers now have cell service as usual at Coldfoot Camp.

+ PETS

If you are traveling with your pet(s) we request you keep them on a leash at all times while visiting Coldfoot Camp. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets are not allowed in the rooms or Cafe.
